2014 Class Gift

As students at Robert Morris University, we have been endowed with a unique opportunity to change the world and change lives. The Class of 2014 Gift is our way of helping people outside of RMU to better their lives just as RMU has bettered ours. Robert Morris has given us the tools to a better life, and we want to pass those tools on to others.

RMU believes in changing lives. It does this by focusing on academic excellence and engaged learning, by giving its students a global perspective, through classwork with a professional focus, and by always remembering that individuals matter. For the 2014 Class Gift, we are taking these core values to a new level.

Every year, under the leadership of Dr. Carl Ross, RMU sends nursing students, along with business, photography, and others to Nicaragua to help the people of the Managua barrios. These people live in severe poverty. The basic human needs of most are not met; children go to sleep hungry and most don’t go to school past early education. The amenities that we take for granted here at home, especially medical supplies, are desperately needed by these people. Through the Class Gift, the Class of 2014 is looking to assist our nursing friends on their mission of mercy and, in turn, change the lives of so many needy people.

Thank you in advance for supporting us in this important and worthwhile initiative.
